Joyce Law specializes in legal issues concerning Warren and Montgomery Counties. 

Our goal is to give all clients a functional understanding of their rights, options, and the legal processes they face.

Timothy Joyce
Retired

Tim is originally from Edina, Missouri. He graduated law school from University of Missouri - Kansas City in 1979. He served as a federal public defender before taking a position as prosecuting attorney in Warrenton. Tim has dedicated his time serving the Warren County community through his involvement with Holy Rosary, Knight of Columbus, Rotary, and Lions Club. 

Samuel Hotchkiss

Sam is a native of Chesterfield, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2013. He served as a judicial law clerk in Kansas City, a public defender in Farmington and Warrenton, and as a prosecutor in the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Warrant Office where he worked closely with police officers seeking search and arrest warrants. When not at work, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife Evelyn (also a lawyer), his three children, and his golden retriever Chuy/Chewy (who occasionally comes to the office with him).

Kathleen Joyce
Owner, Attorney

Katie was born and raised in Warrenton, Missouri. She received her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Lindenwood University and went on to graduate law school from St. Louis University in 2015. She volunteers her time with Wags & Whiskers, Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, and Young Professionals Network. She is also a member of Rotary and Elks.

Emmy Pape
Paralegal

Emmy started as Katie's summer intern while still a student at Warrenton High School. She is continuing her education at University of Missouri-Columbia Law School and is set to graduate in the Spring of 2024. If she is able to find time away from work and school, she prefers to spend it at the beach.

Melissa Lawrence

Melissa grew up in Overland Park, KS.  She attended Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, KS studying Elementary Education.  Melissa has worked in both the public and private sectors, working in government offices and universities including The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The University of Missouri – Columbia.  When not at work, Melissa and her husband, Darrell, enjoy spending time as much time as they can with their nine grandchildren and their German Shephard, Harley Quinn.

Shelly Witthaus
Traffic/Criminal Assistant

Shelly is a lifelong resident of Warren County. She has been working in her current position over fifteen years. She specializes in assisting clients with their traffic and criminal cases. Shelly is now working part-time. On her days off she enjoys playing golf and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
